underdog vegetables
we had parsnips. have you ever had a parsnip? i hadn't either. it essentially smelled, looked, and tasted like an overgrown anemic carrot. preparation: boiled then sauteed. a little garlic, salt, and paprika. we've decided to have an underappreciated veggie once per week. i'll keep you posted on this exciting development.

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE parsnips. I use them in stews a lot. Go you.
So how did the underappreciated veggies taste? I think I have parsnips coming this week...I'm trying out an organic produce delivery service. I haven't been eating enough veggies.
pugly- you continue to suprise me with your beet and parsnip consumption.
pants- since i'm not the biggest fan of the cooked carrot, it wasn't my favorite thing in the world, but not bad at all. good for you for eating your veggies. california is like heaven. try finding organic produce delivery in south carolina. then again try finding anything other than taxidermy and deer processing in south carolina.
i do enjoy things in pancake form. we call em "fritters" down here.
