I always get the Quakers. I took this years ago, still the Quakers. I don't think I'd be into the silent church thing though.... We probably will start going to the UU church when Conor gets back from Tech School. The closest Friends church is in Downers Grove. I found, while taking the quiz, that it was honestly difficult me to divorce myself from what I was taught to believe, or what I'm "supposed" to believe, and answer the questions with what I actually believe. As hokey as the idea of taking a religion quiz is, it actually raised some interesting issues for me. Like the fact that I have the right to decide what I believe, sans an instruction manual or esteemed clergy to tell me what's allowed. Honestly, the idea that there may be no book out there with the answers is still terrifying, but rather liberating for me. Try it out. Let me know what you get. I'd be really interested to see. Just try to answer the questions honestly, with no residual childhood guilt.

It IS hard to answer a few of those without thinking back to what you were taught!
In fact, I know I answered one the way I've been taught to believe--rather than what I think is common sense.
Belief.net gave me 100% for Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants.
I might go back and change that one answer to see if it changes anything!
(I got a 92% for Liberal Quakers!)

I'm back! Thanks for posting this! I went back and did it over again, after having a moment to second-guess myself!
I made a point to go back through and really make sure my answers lined up with what I believe is true--and not what I practice.
(I KNOW--that's what you asked us to do the first time!)
According to this, I'm 100% Orthodox Quaker!

lory- quaker power! the first time i took this quiz, i honestly didn't realize that there were many quakers out there. i'd love to go to a service though. they sound fascinating.

pug- ooo. big surprise! YOU'RE A PAGAN!!! (a la one bad pig)

I think it's easy for me to answer honestly, because I'm so far removed from the way I'm supposed to be as a mormon, that I don't really worry about it anymore. I don't remember what my answers were, but I'm pretty sure UU was #1.

Would it surprise you that I'm Orthodox Quaker - 100%
Eastern Orthodox - 95%

What's with the Quakers??

birdy- yes, uu was #1 for you. maybe we should get on that.

chiro- that's awesome. i'm developing a fondness for the quakers.

The test would be more accurate (for me at least) if there was a question referring to belief in Jesus Christ and his roles, the authority/power of God on the earth today (priesthood), or a living prophet. My belief in those things knock out everything but the LDS church:) Big shocker, I know.

1. Orthodox Judaism (100%)
2. Hinduism (87%)
3. Islam (86%)
4. Jainism (84%)
5. Bahá'í Faith (84%)
6. Jehovah's Witness (80%)
7. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (76%)
8. Sikhism (75%)
9. Orthodox Quaker (73%)
10. Seventh Day Adventist (69%)

I answered with what I believe, and for me that conincides with the religion I have been taught, because I feel its truth in my heart!
