One of the dangers of subscribing to this philosophy is your 3 year old marching around singing "This is the DAY, this is the DAY, that the LORD HAS MADE, that the LORD HAS MADE." She doesn't actually sing those words exactly, but that's the general idea.

To present the other side, the religious Christmas songs are usually a LOT better than the secular ones.
I don't disagree with you. I don't generally care so much about religious songs. I mean the praise and worship music on American Idol kind of threw me for a loop, but I'm cool with religious songs. It's part of the tapestry of history I guess.
