unexplained phobia
violet has never had an over active startle reflex. she was never one of those babies who cried if you dropped a pot. packing, however, is proving to be slow going. violet is TERRIFIED of tape. we've tried to introduce it a few times. happy, smiling... showing her how to pull the tape off the roll. she'll have none of it. it induces immediate shrieking. we've even tried to go in another room and shut the door to tape a box. nope. the minute she hears that sound, she has a breakdown. we've been reduced to taping while she sleeps. which leaves boxes open for her to remove their contents. two steps forward...one step back.

that is too weird!!! :) Hayden is terrified of the vacuum. I have to hold her everytime that I clean. also, she hates anything loud like the lawnmower or daddy's chainsaw.
Violet's all about the vacuum. She chases it all over the place. For the most part, she's not fazed by loud noises. The smoke alarm goes off every other day, no big deal. But that damn tape...
Poor little Violet! The beebabe isn't really too frightened of loud noises either. Then again, she herself is quite loud...
ayn- violet gets on top of the canister hoping to get pulled around. but tape...boy howdy.
cbt- i love the "what the hell did i do???" moment.
chiro-there is an tooth a peekin' through. i think she just may be super sensitive right now.
Hmmmm...unexplained phobia, maybe she got the "unexplained" part from her mother's bizzare phobias. There's a post for you! Have you seen the new tiny bananas? Tee-hee.
that's so cool! maybe when she gets a little bigger and realizes that she can get a ride she will warm up to it.
pug- i don't know that tiny bananas are new. when i was in india all the bananas were tiny, and tasted like 10 bananas in one. i'll ignore the rest....
ayn- babies are weird, huh? i personally think it makes more sense to be afraid of the vacuum than tape. at least dogs are scared of the vacuum.
conor (like a mean mean very mean man) decided to try to see. the answer is NOPE.
