homeward bound

i'm preparing to leave for the land of lincoln tonight. we'll be celebrating the anniversary of the flowerchild's blooming. the amount of baby crap you have to take for a week away from home is unreal. and i'm pretty minimalist when it comes to that stuff. most of it revolves around her dietary needs. gone are the days when all i needed was a boob. i get to see my momma. aaahhh..momma. i bought violet a drum and had it mailed to my sister's house. its a remo floor tom. it's loud, and now my sister hates me. viva la bebe.

i suppose i'll return south for the winter. tell me i'll see a snowflake...TELL ME! i love it when it snows in the south, people pull of to the side of the road in a tiny flurry.

You ain't seen nothing yet...wait till they break out the chains, cancel school for a week, and sell out of all bread and milk for days on end all because of a DAY of ice...scary.

Ok, just for you ...YOU WILL SEE A SNOWFLAKE!

How funny that you mention your baby's birthday...I was just thinking today about Hayden's 1st birthday and how I don't really know if I want her having a piece of cake with the frosting and everything. I know my friends will freak...but, oh well. so anyway, I was actually thinking about you and wondering what you are going to do for your child's 1st birthday? you will have to let me know. I am very curious. I have kind of been thinking I might make an angel food cake or something with tons of berries...

May I say, that I am very, very saddened by the distance between here and Southern, IL. Boo. Boo-hoo. I am now going to sit in the corner and cry. Why oh why do we have to live in such LOOOOONGGGGGG state. Grrr.

oh ayn. you've come to know me so well. we're having banana bread. ha. no sugar for her, she's sweet enough already. angel food is a great idea. no strawberries though. what is it about strawberries that kids can't have them, anyway?

pug- stinky illinois. stinky stinky. i'm sad too. i will sit in a corner far far away and cry with you. and don't worry, no diluted 7-up for miss violet!
