a little extra

I don't know if you've heard, but the military salary is a little on the meager side. In combination with that, and the fact that in classic cheap Sarah form, we got the smallest apartment we could find, i decided to sell some of the crap that comes from the merging of two lives. We have a second bedroom. It contains the computer desk and 700 boxes of junk (and a christmas tree.) I've been trying to figure out a way to make money and I've applied for an internet retailer license from the state of South Carolina. I'm planning to buy wholesale jewelry and sell it. We'll see. Anyway i listed some random junk on eBay. Ski goggles, cloth diapers, bags, shoes, starbucks paraphanalia. I made $146 yesterday selling 3 things. Since then i've listed a few..ahem... other things. i do tend to get carried away with myself though, and Conor may come home to find Violet and me sitting on the floor under a bare bulb.

Just so long as Conor comes home to you AND Violet.... you can make a pretty penny for a cute kid nowadays.... especially if it still has the tags attached and comes in the original packaging.

sheeni, you're hysterical. i know you've had some medical training and are aware that no one wants a baby in its orignial packaging.

You can't be so sure about that, Sarah- lots of freaks out in the world... and I've met most of them.

It is nice to hear that you are doing well. I am trying hard to part ways with my old pal Marshall on eBay. He is a JCM900 100 watt guitar amplifier. With a baby on the way I don't really envision too much rockin' goin' on.

eric! congratulations! a girl. i'm afraid we're going to start running out of boys soon. i only know one person, out of quite a few, who has a baby boy. as far as rockin...violet is almost 9 months and lullabies are SO over (except for naptime) in fact she tends to bury her face in the bell of conor's saxophone. i think she's looking for something. although you may be right...unplugged might be in order for awhile.

Ah! I totally would have bought your cloth diapers...

I have tried selling stuff on ebay...I have made $$ and lost $$ so I think that it is just in finding your niche.

I started baby-sitting for extra cash and it has worked out soooo well! I found this lady that pays me $400 a month to watch her son for 20 hours a week...and she even pays me when she gets called off work and doesn't need me. It is awesome.
